The Semester of Audiovisual Workshop
At the beginning of this semester, I expected that the audiovisual workshop class would be my favorite assignment. But this was not the case.
Given this situation, I will right about what I expected it to be:
I would have like it to be an instance of learning and experimenting where I could have learned about filmmaking and art direction. It would have been very interesting to do complex art workbooks were every choice would have been a deliberate one, then having conscious control over the symbols, deep meanings, backstory, etc...
I would have loved to learn about many directors and art directors. Discovering how they took something from their imagination and put it on a screen. The techniques and systems they used.
It would have been very enriching to learn how to articulate the cinematographic language, into deeper meaning than just full-shot, medium-shot, close-up, etc...
Anyway, for me, art direction is still my favorite area and were I would love to work, and even thou I didn't learn as much as I expected this semester, I know it really depends on me and my own work and interest.

Session 8 The Horrible Routine
Today i like to write about this days in wich you don't want to do anything
those days in wich you get up and you have a set up time fulfill and i simply don't want.
lately I've been thinking in that a lot because it has happened to me a lot.
the routine is not for all, there is people that like and feel comfortable with a routine and people that don't
I clearly don't like routine, i think that just remembering the school's routine I can feel the relief of not being there, but I think, that finally University transforms in the same, because even thou i looked for a carear out of the ordinary, I passed the last years fulfilling schedules and homeworks, just like school.
just like a job with schedules from 8:30 am to 6:15 pm.
finally, what to do? more than waiting time to past, is that this student situation ends and that i can finally do things the way I want, whit freedom, or at least a little freedom.
session 7
This photo is very old, a think this photo was taken in 1991, more or less
i'm not sure who took, it was probably my mom or my aunt.
I found this photo in an old cardboard box, among many other old photos, I found pictures of my childhood, all very nice, but this is especially tender.
in this photo, see my older brother, my older sister and me, on a walk in the summer holidays.
I do not remember exactly where we were, my mother remembers that it was in a park outside of Santiago, but do not know exactly where.
I really like the old pictures, because in them you can see the passage of time.
when i see this picture, I feel great, because I remember those days of childhood where the only worries were playing and having fun.
I like to see this photo and realize that with my brother and sister we are still very close, they are my best friends and I love them.
Session 6 - Stanley Kubrick
Stanley Kubrick is an American film director, he was born in 1928 and died in 1999, he was an incredible filmmaker recognized worldwide.
For me Stanley Kubrick is the most amazing film director, he created some of the most wonderful movies in history.
He was a perfectionist worried about the smallest detail, he always used the latest technology in his films, in Space Odyssey 2001 he created stunning set, and incredible special effects.
In my opinion it is difficult to pick just one movie, because all the movies are totally different.
In Dr Strangelove, we see a critical and political opinion about Cold War, but from a satirical and humorous look.
in Full Metal Jacket, Kubrick tells the horror of the Vietnam War, very deep and shocking
One of my favorite movies is The Shining, this film tells the story of the madness that occurs loneliness has mixed with story of a haunted hotel, where grisly murders shown there is a spectacular and creepy story.
Besides create fantastic stories, he created incredible atmosphere where art direction takes an important role because Kubrick cared to the smallest detail of the shapes, colors, etc.
His film is mostly symbolic
Stanley Kubrick is my great inspiration in art direction, and of curse in movies in general.
my favourite piece of technology
My favorite piece of technology is my Ipad.
In the past, when I not had a one, I thought the Ipad was a useless object, but last Christmas, my boyfriend gave me one.
Since that time, I discovered an object very great, now use it for everything, is especially useful for classes, because I can take notes, show projects, read texts, etc. also used for other things, I can always be connected to social networks, listen to music, watch movies and also play a different games.
besides this, it is very easy to carry, fits in my bag, it is very comfortable and very easy to use.
I use my Ipad every day, I really like, is very entertaining
I am very used to take me everywhere, I can not imagine a day without using it.
my computer is the most benefited, as now only use it for work
In the future everyone should have an Ipad, because it is to much easier to use than a computer.
I expect prices to fall and may be more accessible to all.
